Gibside Landscape Gardens National Trust

This National Trust property is about 4 miles south of Newcastle (NE16 6BG) Enjoy a stroll along the banks of the River Derwent. Take in the changing sounds of the water from the babbling stream to the quiet of the river as you go. Meet Gibside’s oldest tree, and look out for signs of spring and wildlife such as woodpeckers, red kites, ducks and deer, as you immerse yourself in the sensory delights of nature.  There are disable parking bays and they currently have wheelchairs and  2 Trampers, which you can pre-book on 01207 541820.
