Pulborough Brooks RSPB

Pulborough Brooks, Pulborough, West Sussex RH20 2EL is set in the sheltered Arun Valley within the South Downs National Park. The Visitor Centre and reserve is open all year and boasts a great variety of habitats including wetlands, woodland, and heathland so is a haven for a wide range of wildlife. In winter, the flooded meadows teem with ducks, geese and swans, whilst in spring, wading birds, such as lapwings and redshanks, breed amongst the pools and ditches, and nightingales sing from the hedgerows.  Then in the height of summer, butterflies and dragonflies take centre stage, flitting around the sunny hedge lined nature trail and ponds. A heathland restoration project is already attracting woodlarks and nightjars, adding to the sheer variety this reserve has to offer. There are a number of designated mobility parking bays and an accessible toilet with regular toilets in the Visitor Centre, it has non-slip tile flooring and baby changing facilities. As well as a manual wheelchair they have 2 Trampers for hire that can be pre-booked by telephone 01798 875851
